My 2024 Travel Plans
Where I'm thinking of visiting this year, how I want to travel and a big (scary) first experience for me
January is always the time when I get fidgety. These first few months of the year are my least favourite time in the UK, and I always get itchy feet. If it has to be winter, I want deep snow and frosty landscapes. But really, I’m just thinking ahead to summer and can’t get scorching sunshine and daydreams of swimming in lakes and the sea out of my head. I start making lists of where I want to go and the places I’d like to see in the year ahead. The problem always is: I want to go everywhere.
This year looks a little bit different, as I already have a few trips planned for work and hope there will be more travelling in my work calendar. I know I’m lucky to be able to travel for my work, but I also crave real breaks, where I can do whatever I want rather than hoping I’ll have a couple of stolen hours in the evening to myself. I’m not going to mention any upcoming work trips in this newsletter - rather, I’ll be manifesting the places I’m hoping to visit for pleasure and leisure this year, as well as talking about how I’m going to get there and an upcoming travel experience that is going to be completely out of my comfort zone.
